Hair and summer, more than just cosmetics

- 01/15/2020

We are already in the middle of summer and the sun, sea water and swimming pools are damaging our hair. In addition to taking care of it with quality, natural products formulated with plants, there are habits that can help make it healthier. Today we will talk about how lifestyle is crucial for skin and hair to be in the best condition.

First habit: playing sports

Physical activity produces an increase in the production of endorphins and neurotransmitters, such as serotonin, adrenaline and dopamine, which influence mood. Therefore, when you do sports intensely, you experience a feeling of euphoria and well-being. And when you feel good, your skin and hair notice it.
Exercise is the easiest way to generate positive energy and relaxation at the same time,
which directly affects the state of your hair.

Second habit: eat balanced

Eat a balanced diet rich in linoleic acids, an essential Omega 6 fatty acid that we must obtain directly from food since it cannot be synthesized by our body. Linoleic acid improves hair health. In what foods can we find it? In sunflower oil, sesame, wheat germ and linseed, but also in borage, herring, salmon, mackerel, pumpkin, avocados or nuts.

Third habit: hygiene and basic care after leaving the sea and the pool

Exposure to salt or chlorinated water and the sun weakens the hair. It is as if you left a piece of wood outdoors, without dedicating any treatment or care to it... In addition, washing your hair with a vegetable-based shampoo (such as Henna Flower Shampoo with Silicon or Henna, Honey and Orange Shampoo, which in addition to washing, nourishing and hydrating) allows you to remove the layer of dead cells that accumulate on the hairline, such as dry sweat and dirt, which could affect the hair follicle and cause flaking problems.

Fourth habit: Feed your hair well with natural cosmetics

Your main summer mission should be to deeply hydrate your hair. As? Following the steps indicated in Step 2 of The Henna Morena Method.
