Henna Morena Method for Synthetic/ Damaged Hair

Applying synthetic dyes eventually takes its toll. You need to relieve stress on the hair, remove synthetic product or dye residues and allow it to breathe again.

Hair damaged by synthetic products looks dry, fragile and brittle. its texture becomes rough, loses elasticity, frizzes, fades in colorm loses volume, tangles easily, becomes more sensitive to touch and may shed more than usual.

You will need cuticle repair and detox treatments. You should put your hair in intensive care to restore it.

To care for this type of hair, it's important to focus on hydrating and nourishing it, as well as repairing damage and improving shine. The goal with this Method is to restore hair health, which is why step 1 for detoxing and step 2 for deep hydration are very important.

These are the selected products for Synthetic/Damaged hair to follow the Henna Morena Method

Start over and prepare the hair.

  WEEKS 1, 2, 3 Y 4 (IN PARALLEL WITH STEP 2)

The first step of Henna Morena Method is a deep cleanse using high-quality soaps with sulfates that remove harmful substances from the hair and have an alkaline pH to open the cuticle, making it receptive to subsequent plant treatments.

The Solid Coconut Shampoo

For at least 1 month, you will wash your hair with this shampoo. After each wash, you must apply a conditioner or mask, as indicated in Step 2.

After the first few months, you can switch to the Liquid Shampoo for frequent use and keep the Solid Shampoo for occasional use. We recommend always having both formats at home.

RECOMMENDED PRODUCTS IN STEP 1

COCONUT SHAMPOO BAR

RESTORE THE HAIR'S MOISTURE.

→ STARTING FROM WEEK 1

After the initial reset with the solid shampoo, it is essential to use moisturizing products after washing and intensive treatments on try hair. You should begin Step 2 at the same time as Step 1.

The Henna Morena Method now reaches a crucial and non-negotiable stage: our hair needs to reinforce basic hydration after washing. On one habd, our post-wash conditioners and masks, made with moisturizing and repairing ingredients, are essential as they leave the hair silky and easy to comb.

To complete the hydration, we will use moisturizing treatments with essential plant-based fats from hair oils and shea butter, which repair the hair cuticle and prevent natural dehydration caused by external aggressors like cold, sun, humidity or synthetic products. Applied to dry hair, form the scalp to the tips, these treatments rebuild the hair fiber from within, prevent water loss, eliminate frizz and achieve spectacular shine and silkiness.

A shampoo, a conditiones, a mask, a hair oil and/or shea butter and the Night Regenerating Serum.

Finish each wash with the conditioner and conditioner and once a week, replace it with the mask (if possible, leave it on 20-30 minutes). These two products should always be used, whether your hair is healthy or damaged.

Additionally, once a week, apply a mask using one of our hair Oils or Shea butter. In cases of frizz or extreme dryness, complement your oil routine with the Night Regenerating Serum once a week, a highly intensive repairing treatment.

After a month or two, you can space out the oil applications to 1-2 times per month.

To remove oils or butters from the hair, we recommend using any of our 4 sulfate-free liquid shampoos, which effectively combat excess oil, help seal the cuticle without leaving residue and provide protective ingredients for the hair.

→ STARTING FROM WEEK 4

Once the hair is clean and hydrated, it's time to nourish it: nutrition. Plant and mineral treatments (powdered or liquid) require the hair citicle to be repaired to counteract their astringent effect and fully benefit from their properties.

If your hair is damaged, has split ends or is bleached (for example) and you haven't completed the previous steps of (1) resetting ans (2) hydrating for at least 1 month, do not proceed with the Henna Morena Method because your hair is not ready to absorb the nutrients from the plants.

To remove plant poultices, use our sulfate-free liquid shampoos, which will help remove product residues from hair while sealing the cuticle without leaving residues.

We recommend applying Cassia Obovata, Walnut (if you are a brunette), or the Shikakai powder shampoo, provided you have previously completed Steps 1 and 2

Once you have completed Steps 1 and 2, you can start with plant treatments.

From this point on, you yan repeat the application of Cassia Obovata or Wallnut once a month. If you choose to dye with plants (Step 4), you can easily alternate these treatments with the coloring.

To remove the powder treatments, we recommend using the Henna and Silica Liquid Shampoo, which effectively combats excess oil, help seal the cuticle without leaving residue and provides prootective ingredients for the hair.

The color that cares.

→ STARTING FROM WEEK 5

Your hair is now ready to use one of our plant-based coloring products (if you weren't planning to change your hair color, you can proceed to Step 5) However, you should know that our plant-based coloring products are not just simple dyes. they are 100% plant formulas designed to both pigment and nourish the hair.

How does plant-based pigmentation work?

Traditional dyes work by creating a chemical reaction that breaks down the hair cuticle fibers to reach the cortex and change the color through oxidation. In contrast, plant-based coloring works through deposition. What does this mean? The pigments adhere os deposit onto cuticle, the outer layer of the hair, while preserving the hair fibers. Pigmentation will occur over your natural hair color. Since there is no oxidation, it is not possible to lighten the color.

The more you use synthetic color, the more you weaken and damage your hair. However, with plant-based color, the more often you apply plant-based color, the more gray coverage, shine and density you achieve. Additionally, by repairing the cuticle, you counteract damage caused by the sun, pollution, bleaching or peroxide. Our range of plant-based coloring consists of 10 plant formulas that provide different pigments and the result will depend on the natural color to which you apply them.

To wash your hair after applying plant-based dyes, we recommend using the sulfate-free Honey and orange Liquid Shampoo, which will help remove plant residues from your hair while sealing the cuticle without leaving any residue.

Choose the formula you want to use to color your hair. You can refer to our coloring guide here.

Keep in mind thatif you have dark hair and 50% or more gary hair, you will need to perform a double coloring. This is explained in the coloring guide.

Remember that you will need to add hair oil.

Once you have completed Steps 1, 2 and 3, you can begin with plant-based coloring.

You can repeat the coloring application as often as needed: it will not harm your hair. Typically, it is done once a month, although you can also apply it every 15 day to touch up roots if necessary.
