Henna Morena Method for Dry hair

Do you feel your hair is dry? That's because it's thirsty and needs nutrients. By following the steps of Henna Morena Method, you will restore your hair's health.

Dry hair lacks hydration and natiral oils. The sebaceous glands don't produce enough sebum to keep the hair moisturized, which makes it feel rough, coarse and lacking shine, giving it a dull appearance. It struggles to retain moisture, making it more prone to dryness and fragility, leading to breakage and split ends

This type of hair tends to frizz, is less elastic, and more rigid than other hair types, giving it a lifeless, dull look.

The main goal is to maintain hydration, enhance softness and improve shine. It will be essential to focus os Step 2: Hydration and Step 3: Nutrition to restore its shine and softness.

These are the selected products for dry hair to follow the Henna Morena Method

Start over and prepare the hair.

WEEKS 1, 2, 3 Y 4 (IN PARALLEL WITH STEP 2)

The first step of the Henna Morena Method is a deep cleansing using high-quality soaps with sulfates that remove harmful substances from the hair. These soaps have an alkaline pH, which opens the cuticle and prepares the hair ti receive subsequent plant-based treatments.

Green Tea solid Shampoo

For at least 1 month, you will wash your hair with this shampoo. After each wash, you will need to apply a conditioner or mask, as indicated in Step 2.

After the first few months, you can switch to the Liquid Shampoo for regular use and reserve the Solid Shampoo for occasional use. Our recommendation is to always have both formats at home.

RECOMMENDED PRODUCTS FOR STEP 1

GREEN TEA SOLID SHAMPOO

ALL HAIR TYPES. FREQUENT USE, IDEAL FOR ATHLETES.

RESTORE THE HAIR'S MOISTURE.

→ STARTING FROM WEEK 1

After the initial reset with the solid shampoos, it is essential to use hydration products after washing and intensive treatments on dry hair. You should start Step 2 simultaneously with Step 1.

The Henna Morena Method now reaches a crucial and non-negotiable stage: our hair needs to reinforce basic hydration after washing. On one hand, our post-wash conditioners and masks, made with moisturizing and reairing ingredients, are essential. They will leave the hair silky and easy to manage.

To complete the hydration, we will use intensive treatments with essential vegetable fats from hair oils and shea butter. these ingredients repair the hair cuticle and prevent its natural dehydration caused by external factors such as cold, sun, humidity or synthetic products. Applied to dry hair, from the scalp to the ends, they reconstruct the hair fiber  from within, prevent water loss, eliminate frizz and achieve spectacular shine and smoothness.

A conditiones, a hair mask, a liquid shampoo, a hair oil and/or shea butter and the Night Regenerating Serum. .

Finish each wash with the conditiones and, once a week, replace it with the hair mask (if possible, leave it on for 20-30 minutes). These two products should always be used, whether your hair is healthy or damaged.

In parallel, once a week, use a hair mask with one of our hair oils (here's how to prepare it) or shea butter. In cases of frizz or extreme dryness, complement your oil routine with the Night Regerenating Serum once a week, a highly intensive restorative treatment.

After a mont or two, you can space out oil applications to 1-2 times a month.

To remove oils or butters from your hair, we recommend using the Honey and Orange Shampoo. It helpsseal the cuticle without leaving residues and provides protective ingredients for the hair.

Once the hair is clean and hydrated, it's time to nourish it: nutrition. Plant and mineral treatments (powder or liquid) require the hair cuticle to be repaired to counteract their astringent effect and fully benefit from their properties.

If your hair is damaged, has split ends or is bleached (for example), and you have not completed the prior steps of (1) resetting and (2) hydrating for at least 1 month, do not proceed with the Henna Morena Method, as the hair is not prepared to absorb the nutrients from the plants.

To remove plant poultices, use our sulfate-free Honey and Orange liquid Shampoo, which will help remove product residues from your hair while sealing the cuticle without leaving any residue.

One or more powder treatments, depending on your hair's needs. Both Cassia Obovata and Walnut share similar properties. The difference is that Walnut contains natural tannins that slightly tint the hair a browns color. Therefore, if you have dark hair, Walnut will help revive your natural brown tone in addition to providing other benefits. For other hair types, we recommend Cassia Obovata, provided you have completed Steps 1 and 2 beforehand.

Once you have completed the timelines for Steps 1 and 3, you can start with plant treatments.

As a basic option, we recommend choosing a powder treatment such as Cassia or Wallnut. From this point on, you can repeat these treatments once a month. If you choose to dye your hair with plants (Step 4), you can easily alternate these treatments with coloring.

To remove the powder treatments, we recommend using the Honey and Orange Shampoo, which will help seal the cuticle without leaving residues and provide protective ingredients for the hair.

Color that cares.

→ STARTING FROM WEEK 5

Your hair is now ready to use one of our plant-based coloring products (if you weren't planning to change your hair color, you can move on to Step 5). However, you should know that our plant-based formulas designed to both pigment and nourish the hair.

How does plant-based pigmentation work?

Traditional dyes work by generating a chemical reaction that breaks down the hair cuticle fibers to reach the cortex and change the color through oxidation. In contrast, plant-based coloring works by deposition. What do you mean? The pigmentd adhere to or deposit onto the cuticle, the outer layer of the hair, while respecting the hair fibers. The pigmentation occurs on the natural color of your hair. Since there is no oxidation, it is not possible to lighten the color.

The more often you use synthetic dyes, the more you weaken and damage your hair. However, with plant-based coloring, the opposite happens: the more frequently you apply plant-based color, the more gray coverage, shine and density you achieve. Additionally, by repairing the cuticle, you counteract damage caused by the sun, pollution, bleaching or peroxide. Our range of plant-based coloring consists of 10 plant formulas that provide different different pigments, and the result will depend on th natural color to which they applied.

To wash your hair after applying plant based dyes, we recommend using our range of sulfate-free liquid shampoos, which will help remove plant residues from hair while sealing the cuticle without leaving any residue from your hair while sealing the cuticle without leaving any residue.

Choose the formula you want to use to color your hair. You can consult our coloring guide here.

Keep in mind that if you have dark hair and 50% or more gray hair, you will need to perform double coloring. This is explained in the coloring guide.

Remember that you will need to add hair oil or shea butter to the preparation.

Once you have completed the timelines for Steps 1, 2 and 3, you can begin plant-based coloring.

You can repeat the coloring application as often as needed: it will not damage your hair. Typically, once a month is sufficient, but you can also apply it every 15 days to touch up roots if needed.
