Colour that cares for your hair.
Your hair is now ready to use one of our plant hair colour products (if you were not thinking about changing the colour of your hair, skip to Step 5). However, you need to know that our plant hair colour products are not simple dyes, but 100% plant-based formulas designed to pigment and nourish the hair.
How does plant pigmentation work?
Traditional dyes work by creating a chemical reaction that breaks the hair fibres of the hair cuticle, to reach the shell and modify the colour through oxidation. On the contrary, plant hair colour works through deposits. What does this mean? That the pigments adhere to or are deposited on the cuticle, the outer part of the hair, respecting the hair fibres. The pigmentation will take place on your hair’s natural colour. Since there is no oxidation, the colour cannot be lightened.
The more you use synthetic dyes, the more you weaken and damage your hair. However, the opposite occurs with plant hair colour: the more you apply the plant hair colour, the more grey coverage, shine and thickness you will achieve. What’s more, by repairing the cuticle, you offset the damage caused by the sun, pollution, bleaching or peroxide. To wash your hair after applying plant hair colour, we recommend using our range of sulphate-free liquid shampoos which will help you to remove any plant remains from your hair, sealing the cuticle without leaving any residues.

For this step, choose the coloring formula(s) you want and 1 oil or Shea butter that you will need to prepare the dye.
