Almonds: the diet with healthy fats to nourish hair

- 09/09/2024

You probably know that almonds are a healthy food with some very good properties for our health. What you may not know yet is that they are also good for your hair. We tell you about their benefits and how to take advantage of them through oils.

Almonds are a kind of ‘cocktail’ with all the key ingredients to take care of your hair and keep it radiant. What we like most about them is that they are a great source of healthy fats, especially monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids, responsible for keeping hair strong, shiny and well hydrated.

In order to make the most of their properties we have formulated 4 hair oils based on cold pressed almond oil together with other wonderful natural ingredients. As they are first cold-pressed and unrefined, they contain a high level of purity and promote the nourishing actions that our cells need. Applied a couple of times a month, from roots to ends and on dry hair, they give you all this:

Hydration and shine from the inside out

Almonds are full of fatty acids such as omega-9, or oleic acid, which work from the inside out to keep your hair hydrated and nourished. This is reflected in a shinier and more hydrated mane over time. In addition, Almonds are rich in vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant that protects your hair from environmental damage (pollution and so on), keeping it healthy and full of vitality.

Strengthening from the root: keeping hair loss at bay

Did you know that incorporating fatty acids into your routine, both in your diet and in hair products, helps to prevent hair loss and strengthen hair? One of them is linoleic acid, which is present in almonds.

Protein and Biotin for healthy hair growth

In addition to healthy fats, Almonds provide protein and biotin, two essential elements for healthy hair growth. Biotin, in particular, plays a crucial role in the production of keratin, the protein that forms our hair. With a constant supply of these nutrients, your hair will grow healthier, stronger and with a more resistant structure.

Goodbye dandruff and dryness: keep your scalp healthy

If you suffer from irritation or dryness, or are prone to dandruff, you'll be pleased to know that Almonds also have anti-inflammatory properties that soothe the scalp.

Our range of hair oils contains 4 repairing and moisturising almond oils, each one suitable for a different hair type. They all work in the same way: apply to dry hair, from roots to ends, and leave on for at least 2 hours or even overnight. This step, repeated 1-2 times a month, will keep your hair healthy, shiny and hydrated over time. Before you start, we recommend you first read the article ‘7 things you need to know about oils’.
