Recipes: cook yourself your summer hair masks
In summer, the roots of your hair need to be well nourished, and plants are the perfect food: healthy, fresh and local. Did you know that they can help protect your hair from the excesses of the sea, pool and sun? Let's get to it.
In order to grow, hair must be strong and energetic, and the scalp must be healthy. Experimenting with botanicals and plants allows us to "cook" our own masks to achieve stronger hair and, therefore, better prepared for the external aggressions we suffer at this time of year.
These two recipes for beginners can be easily prepared at home and are an excuse to give yourself the gift of time: start your natural beauty ritual today and discover how good it feels to take care of yourself.
Nourishing mask with banana and Shea
For very dry hair
Ingredients
1 banana
1 tablespoon of this Almond oil
35g of Shea mask
Mash the ripe banana in a bowl. Add the tablespoon of the Almond Oil and the melted Shea Butter. Mix well and apply to clean, dry hair, leaving it on for 1 hour. Afterwards, wash it with plenty of warm water and your usual Henna Morena shampoo. This super nourishing mask will strengthen the hair cuticle making your hair shiny, healthy and stronger.
Extra-hydrating mask
For wavy and curly hair
Ingredients
2 tablespoons of Aloe Vera and Lavender gel
1/2 natural yogurt
The aloe vera and yoghurt mask is an intensive natural treatment to repair curly hair and restore curls. Wavy hair often suffers from dryness because the natural oil secreted by the scalp does not reach the ends of the hair because it "stays" in the middle of the hair. This is why it is important to care for the ends of curly hair. This is a moisturising recipe for hair and scalp, and helps you control the shape of your curls.
Mix the two ingredients together and blend to an even texture. Apply to damp hair, leaving it on for at least 1/2 hour. Then wash it out with plenty of warm water and your usual shampoo. As this mask contains proteins, it will repair the hair cuticle, making hair more elastic and shiny.
