Guide to take care of hair in summer: tips and products

- 06/23/2022

In summer, we all worry about keeping our hair hydrated because we know that the sun, chlorine and salt dry it out twice as much. That's why it's important to adapt your routine and products to the moment. We explain everything you need to know to avoid frizz and dehydration.

We want to make things easy for you with this guide explaining what products you need for the main mission of summer: to deeply moisturise your hair. In this guide are our moisturising must-haves, products made with natural ingredients, free of sulphates and parabens. These are the must-haves, the ones we have on hand and the ones we always take with us in our holiday toiletry bag.

THE ESSENTIALS

- Orange and Shea Conditioner, always applied after shampooing every time you wash your hair, will instantly moisturise your hair thanks to its vitamin, mineral and amino acid content. It will also help to soften and detangle your hair.

- The Henna and Shea mask is an extra-repairing treatment with immediate effect. Once a week, apply it as the last step after shampooing, leaving it on for at least 30 minutes, and notice how your hair will be full of vitality.

- Hydrating serum with Silicon and Jojoba is a hair beauty elixir, a concentrated super moisturiser with nourishing first-press Shea, Jojoba, Ginseng and Coconut oils. It is the last step before blow-drying or with dry hair: you will control frizz and have a flawless mane.

- Aloe Vera gel with Lavender scent is also a refreshing hair product that adds water (i.e. moisturises). Keep it close by for when you feel like doing your hair in a ponytail or bun, because it will help you fix the style while providing vitamins A, B, C, E, B12, enzymes and amino acids. If you have curly hair, use it to define your curls.

TIPS AND SUMMER CARE

- If you're spending the day at the beach or pool and you're not going to get your hair wet, you can spray your hair with a water spray or infusion and apply a generous amount of mask to your hair. Allow the nutrients to slowly penetrate the hair throughout the day - the warmth of the sun will help with this. At the end of the day you can wash it out and voilà, effortless home treatment!

- Become best friends with the wonderful hydrating serum. We always carry it in our handbag because, as we told you before, its texture allows you to reapply it on the ends several times a day. Oh, and don't worry, it doesn't weigh your hair down or make it greasy.

- When you go to the beach, the best sunscreen for your hair is always a hat or scarf. If you do get your hair wet, try to rinse it with fresh water whenever you can, as salt water for hours at a time causes hair ageing. And as soon as you can, wash it with shampoo and conditioner or mask.

- Don't apply any products to your hair if you're going swimming, to avoid contaminating the sea water or dirtying the pool water. The important thing is to take care of it before and after, so that your hair stays healthy all summer long and can protect itself from external aggressions.

- If you're a curly girl and you have Aloe Vera Gel, mix in some conditioner and apply the mixture as a homemade mask.

- Once a week, take an oil bath (we have 5 references), the vitamin food that provides healthy fats for good hair health and keeps hair strong, shiny and elastic. You should soak your entire mane with the oil and leave it on for at least 2 hours. After washing it out, you will notice that your hair is much more hydrated and shiny.

Don't wait until after the summer to repair: get ahead by protecting your hair now.
