Guide to take care of hair in summer: tips and products
In summer we all worry that our hair is hydrated because we know that the sun, chlorine and salt dry out our hair twice. Therefore, it is important to adapt the routine and products to the moment. We explain everything you need to know to avoid frizz and dehydration.
With the arrival of good weather, our hair -just like our skin- is more exposed to external agents that damage the hair. We already talked to you here on the subject, but this time we are here to make things easy for you with a guide in which we explain what products you need for the main goal of summer: to deeply hydrate your hair. In this guide there are our hydration essentials, products made with natural ingredients, without sulfates or parabens. They are the essential ones, the ones we have on hand and the ones we always carry in our vacation bag, such as the Silicon and Jojoba Serum or the Henna and Shea Mask.
THE ESSENTIALS
- The mask Henna and Shea Butter for very dry and/or curly hair will keep the hair's lipid layer well hydrated. Once a week, apply it as the last step of washing, leaving it to act for at least 30 minutes and notice how your hair is full of vitality.
- The Silicon and Jojoba Moisturizing Serum is a hair beauty elixir, a concentrated super moisturizer with first-pressed Shea, Jojoba, Ginseng and Coconut oils. We recommend that you apply it as the last step before blow-drying or dry finger-combing, as it will help you achieve a flawless result
- The Aloe Vera Gel with Lavender scent It is also a refreshing product for the hair that provides water (ie, hydrates). Have it close by for when you want to do a hairstyle, ponytail or bun, because it will help you fix the hairstyle while providing vitamins A, B, C, E, B12, enzymes and amino acids
TIPS AND SUMMER CARE
- Become best friends with the wonderful Silicon and Jojoba moisturizing serum. We always carry it in our bag because, as we told you before, its texture allows you to reapply it to the ends several times a day. Oh, and don't worry, it doesn't weigh down or make you greasy.
- When you go to the beach, the best sunscreen for your hair will always be a hat or scarf. If you get it wet, always try to rinse it with fresh water that you can since salt water for hours causes capillary aging. In addition to washing it with shampoo and conditioner, Grape Seed Oil -rich in vitamin E- will help you repair it.
- If you are going to spend the day at the beach or pool, but you don't want to get your hair wet, you can spray your hair with a spray of water or infusion and apply a generous amount of mask to your hair. Let the nutrients penetrate the hair little by little throughout the day - the heat of the sun will help you in this. At the end of the day you can wash it off and voilà, home treatment made effortless!
- Do not apply synthetic protective products that can contaminate the sea water or dirty the pool water. The important thing is to take care of it before and after, so that your hair is healthy all summer and that it can protect itself from external aggressions. If even with your usual routine, you need an extra repair, better do it after the bath, and with the hair still wet. You can spray an infusion of plants on your hair or apply our serum to the ends.
- If you are a curly girl and have Aloe Vera Gel, mix a few drops of Grape Seed and Petit Grain Oil and apply the mixture as a homemade mask. You will see! Also, you can guaStore the gel in the refrigerator and use it as an aftershave.
- Once a week, take an Almond Oil bath (we have 4 options), the vitamin food that provides healthy fats for good hair health, and that keeps hair strong, shiny and elastic. You must soak the entire mane with the oil and leave it on for at least 2 hours. Then wash twice with sulfate-free shampoo. You will notice much more hydrated and shiny hair.
