How to Apply Hair Oil and Maximize Its Effects
Our first cold-pressed oils are made with organic ingredients and, in some cases, with wild-harvested plants. They are rich in unsaturated fatty acids that penetrate the epidermis, nourishing it and protecting the lipid layer. They have soothing, softening, toning, and regenerating effects that help slow down premature aging.
We're going to show you why they are so essential, and the ideal way to apply them to maximize their effects.
The pre-step: a scalp massage
Who would say no to a massage—a gentle moment of relaxation that, besides relieving stress, also cleanses your scalp and stimulates the hair follicle?
With the bamboo massage brush, we’ll kick off a ritual that keeps the blood flowing actively, promotes lymphatic drainage, and achieves desirable effects such as reducing hair loss, adding shine to your mane, and distributing the natural oils on your scalp.
Once you've detangled and brushed your hair, massage in gentle circular motions as you go along and cover the entire scalp, including the back of the head and the hairline.
5 or 10 minutes is enough, and you can adjust the pressure and speed to your preference. But remember, this is a gentle massage that helps remove dirt residues in preparation for the next step: applying your oil hair mask.
Avoid frizz with hair oils
Why use them?
We'll be clear: oil is a weekly/monthly treatment you *must* do, regardless of your hair type, if you want to keep it healthy.
Oils provide essential fats to help repair the cuticle and prevent its natural dehydration caused by external aggressions such as cold, sun, humidity, or synthetic products. Applied to dry hair, they rebuild the hair fiber from within and prevent water loss, eliminating frizz and achieving spectacular shine and silkiness.
Goodbye frizz
When our hair is dry and lacking moisture, it absorbs water from the air uncontrollably, which causes frizz. However, when we use hair oils, they help maintain the structure and prevent it from being affected by environmental humidity.
The key is to seal in the internal moisture of the hair, preventing it from escaping and avoiding the need for the hair to absorb it from the outside. That’s exactly what our oils do every time you apply them for at least 2 hours and let them work. They nourish, seal, and maintain hydration.
At Henna Morena, we offer a variety of first-press botanical oils that, in addition to all the benefits mentioned, address specific needs depending on your hair type:
Grape Seed and Petit Grain Oil for fine, damaged hair affected by synthetic dyes, pollution, and other external aggressors.
Almond Oil with Henna Flower scent ideal for dry, frizzy, or damaged hair.
Almond Oil with Jasmine and Orange Blossom scent suitable for all hair types. This oil balances the scalp and provides shine and natural flexibility to all types of hair.
Almond Oil with Lavender is ideal for fine and dry hair, deeply moisturizing and restoring natural shine and flexibility.
Almond Oil with Myrrh is designed for weak and brittle hair. By deeply moisturizing, it keeps the hair healthy and strengthens the scalp.
How to apply them?
Once a week, apply the hair oil to dry hair for at least 2 hours—or longer if you can, for example, overnight. Its fats repair the cuticle and prevent natural dehydration from within. Once you've brushed your hair and gently massaged your scalp with the brush, your scalp is clean and ready for the oil treatment to penetrate and do its job, so you feel your hair strong and healthy.
Henna Morena hair oils, when applied to dry hair from the scalp to the ends, rebuild the hair fiber from within and prevent water loss, eliminating frizz and achieving spectacular shine and softness. After two months, you can space out the oil application to once or twice a month.
