Liquid shampoo, solid shampoo, powder shampoo... Which one does my hair need?
Does a liquid shampoo have the same benefits as a solid shampoo? Or, can I alternate more than one shampoo in my routines? When you stop seeing washing your hair as just another step in your grooming and give it the importance it deserves, doubts creep in.
For us, washing the hair is as important as the oil treatment or using a good brush. We offer formulas made from natural ingredients that give hair what it needs in addition to cleansing, respect the pH of the scalp and, of course, do not contain silicones. We explain the differences between our three types of shampoos and answer the most frequently asked questions.
What should I look for in a shampoo?
Washing your hair not only removes dirt and pollutants, but is also key to balancing the hair's natural oils and caring for the scalp. Our botanical shampoos, in addition to washing your hair, nourish, moisturise and balance it in the most appropriate way, respecting its nature. The first step is to know what your hair is like, and not only its structure (straight, curly, thick, fine, brittle...) but also its needs: is it greasy, is it very dry, is it oxidised... Knowing your hair is an essential requirement for choosing your shampoo.
What types of shampoo will you find in Henna Morena?
Liquid shampoo
We have reformulated our liquid shampoos to take even better care of the specific needs of your hair. We want to turn shower time into a Mediterranean experience, that's why you'll find our very own, very local scents: thyme, lavender, sage... Without sulphates, silicones or parabens, respecting the nature of the hair.
- The Honey and Orange shampoo is ideal for dry and damaged hair. Very nourishing, cleanses and moisturises in depth.
- The Nettle and Thyme shampoo is ideal for fragile hair, as it prevents hair loss.
- The Sage with Lavender shampoo strengthens hair growth, adds volume and maintains shine.
- The Henna with Silicon shampoo repairs and strengthens the hair. Maintains the colour of coloured hair longer, without dyeing.
Solid shampoo
Solid shampoos were our big novelty in 2021. With natural ingredients, zero waste and very practical, you can take them with you on your travels, to the gym or even keep them handy in the shower in a soap dish or sisal bag. What's more, they last a long time, because with just two or three strokes on wet hair, you'll create enough lather to wash your entire mane.
We propose 5 references that take care of the different needs of the hair, all of them with conditioning effect:
- The Grapefruit shampoo bar is ideal for oily hair. Regulates sebum, cleanses and conditions hair.
- The Cocoa and Shea shampo bar is the ally of curly, damaged or dyed hair, as it is very emollient and moisturising.
- The Juniper shampoo bar is one of our best sellers. We recommend it for fine hair, to care for sensitive scalp and to combat flaking.
- The Coconut shampoo bar is ideal for very dry and damaged hair, as it repairs the hair and prevents split ends.
- The Green Tea shampoo bar is the most universal of all, it cleanses and protects all hair types from environmental aggressions. We recommend it especially for those who wash their hair every day.
Our solid shampoos contain sodium coco-sulfate (SCS), naturally present in coconut and responsible for giving the shampoo the ability to deeply cleanse the hair and remove oil and other residues that accumulate on the hair without damaging the scalp. Thanks to this ingredient, we can remove oil treatments. For the same reason, our solid shampoos are very suitable for leaving curly hair ready to start the curly method and perform "reset" washes.
Shampoo powder
You may know our vegetable powder shampoo as Shikakai, which is 100% Acacia Concinna powder. This plant contains saponins, so it produces a subtle foam. As it has a low pH, it leaves our hair feeling pleasantly soft, and we can use it as often as we like as it is also rich in naphthoquinones and helps hair growth.
It is the ideal shampoo for times of hair loss, for those of you who have very fragile hair or for those of you who want a 100% natural shampooing option. This shampoo should be prepared previously by mixing the powder with water: we recommend adding an infusion or hair rinse to add extra properties.
Which shampoos can you combine according to your hair type?
Now that you know the different formats, our formulas and their properties, we suggest which shampoos you can alternate to cleanse your hair depending on when and what it needs.
