Do oils make hair greasy?

- 12/04/2018

No, our oils do not make hair greasy. On the contrary, although it may seem contradictory, they help us to balance excess oil.

Nobody likes greasy hair, don't you? Frequently, greasy hair is the result of a disorder of the body, which produces an excess of sebum on the scalp and, consequently, impregnates the hair with dirt. It is on these occasions when we have the sensation of a dirty mane.

To avoid further greasing, there is nothing better than starting a treatment with first cold-pressed oil. As it may seem paradoxical, first cold-pressed oils help us to balance the hair's oiliness. How?

This is how our oils work

First of all, you should know that our hair does not absorb the oil, but works superficially, depositing nutritional elements such as fatty acids that help us to repair the damaged outer layer of the hair, to strengthen it and restore the balance of fat in oily hair.

Just as the body asks for what it needs and gets rid of the excess for its proper functioning, so does the hair: it is nourished by the properties of the oil and what is not necessary is not absorbed.

In addition, the oil acts by creating a thin barrier that acts between our hair and the outside, naturally creating a protective layer.

Remember that there are always weighty genetic factors that can intervene in the creation of more or less oil on our scalp, as well as factors related to our diet.

Of course, not just any oil will do: it must be first cold-pressed, as it is unrefined and contains a high purity and favors the nourishing actions that our cells need. Like ours.

Our oil for oily hair
