More bikes than cars

For the first time, more bikes than cars are sold in Spain. This is no small thing. Something is happening. And it is for the better. A few years ago, a car was synonymous with status, social improvement, power. Today the mentality has changed to the point that not having one (we are talking about living in the city) is a growing option.
Although in our country only 3% of the population moves by bicycle (compared to 24% of the Dutch) there are towns like Vitoria that ride a little higher, 7%. - But the encouraging thing is that it is a trend that is "in crecendo".
At Henna Morena we are totally in favour of cycling, because it doesn't pollute (our online shop deliveries in Barcelona are made by bike!), it creates a more relaxed urban environment and it promotes health.
However, there are more reasons to get addicted to cycling:
