The coppery tone that gives you more glow in summer: a guide to choosing your He
It’s light, character, and magnetism. This shade is especially flattering for women with olive or Mediterranean skin tones, but its charm is universal. The best part? You can achieve that warm, radiant glow without damaging your hair with harsh bleaching, thanks to our plant-based hair color. Here's how it works and how to choose the best Henna for you.
At Henna Morena, we don't use plant-based color as just a simple dye. We treat it as a botanical ritual. That’s why every coloring pack includes a hair infusion, selected according to your hair's specific needs.
These infusions—made with plants like rosemary, sage, or lavender—not only activate the pigment but also add health, balance, and strength. While the color sets, the plants go to work: regulating oil, strengthening the roots, and soothing the scalp.
Why does Henna color hair copper?
Henna is a plant powder obtained by grinding the leaves of a shrub: Lawsonia inermis. Its pigmenting power comes from a molecule called Lawsona, which binds to the hair fiber without damaging it. When it interacts with the hair’s natural keratin (present in the cuticle), it triggers a chemical reaction that produces Henna’s characteristic copper color. That means the result is a copper tone that adapts to your natural hair color. As we always say, your base color affects how it will turn out.
On light hair—that is, blondes or redheads—the copper tone appears intense and luminous.
Henna with Nettle and Thyme infusion, with Lavender and Orange Blossom infusion, and with Rosemary and Sage infusion
On brown hair, it adds golden copper and hazelnut highlights. If your hair is darker, the copper appears more subtle, with a beautiful sunlit shimmer.

Henna with Black Tea, Cinnamon, and Hibiscus infusion
When there’s gray hair or highlights, Henna dyes it an orange-copper that deepens and darkens with each application.
