We expand our range of vegetable coloring

- 03/08/2021

We have created 4 new formulas of natural dyes: welcome the Walnut tone for brunettes (Henna with Cassia Obovata), the chocolate tone for dark brunettes (Walnut with Indigo), the soft copper tone for blondes and light brunettes (Henna with Chamomile) and the light blond bath for blondes (Chamomile with Cassia Obovata).

Of course, vegetable coloring is not an exact science and, unlike synthetic dyes that dye hair a certain color, these tones are indicative. In this magazine you can see how every color looks on hair.

Vegetable coloring, by not oxidizing the hair like a synthetic dye, cannot wash out our color and therefore cannot literally dye the tone we want. The final result ALWAYS depends on the type of hair we have, its color and the condition it is in.

Vegetable coloring, unlike synthetic dyes, dyes by deposit, covering the hair structure as if it were a varnish with a little color. It does not penetrate the deep layers of the hair, such as the cortex (which contains melanin) or the medulla and, therefore, cannot homogenize or lighten the tone.

Finally, dyeing is synonymous with caring. In addition to color, plants provide nutrients that strengthen hair, prevent hair loss, add shine, density, and repair the hair cuticle. What more can you ask for from a dye?

How are the new formulas?

Henna with Cassia: a long awaited one

For all of you who have brown hair, love your tone and want to dye it naturally, acquiring a hazelnut tone with a slight copper reflection. In this formula, the intensity of Henna (a natural pigment from the Lawsonia inermis plant that dyes a copper color) is reduced by the Cassia Obovata plant (a plant that provides shine, nutrients and strengthens hair without dyeing) and thus achieves a hazelnut tone on brown hair.

How is it prepared? Pour the contents of the sachet into a glass or wooden bowl, add the included rosemary and sage infusion, stir with a wooden spoon until the cup has a chocolate texture. Then add one of our first cold-pressed oils. Quantity: 2 or 3 tablespoons for short hair, 4 or 5 tablespoons for mid hair and 6 or 7 tablespoons for long hairs.

How will gray hairs look? This formula dyes gray hair in a lower tone, as if they were natural highlights. The color on the gray hair is more coppery and lighter than on the rest of the hair.

Henna with Chamomile: a versatile tone

This mixture of plants can be applied to both red hair and light and medium brown hair. On red hair it acquires a soft copper tone with slight golden reflections. On brown hair you get a brown tone with coppery-gold reflections.

Pay attention, this is the color that our ambassador and influencer Arantxa Areta is wearing!

How is it prepared? Pour the contents of the envelope into a glass or wooden bowl, add the infusion of Dulcamara, Malva and Abrotano that is included, and stir with a wooden spoon until you get a chocolate texture in the cup. Then add one of our first cold-pressed oils. Quantity: 2 or 3 tablespoons for short hair, 4 or 5 tablespoons for mid hair and 6 or 7 tablespoons for long hairs.

How will gray hairs look? This formula dyes gray hair a light copper color, leaving a natural highlight effect on both brown and red hair.

Manzanilla con Cassia Obovata: baño de color para rubias

This special blend of plants for blonde hair provides shine, luminosity and a slightly more intense color. In the following example you can see blonde hair used to being dyed with synthetic dyes and that wants to switch to coloring with plants. In this case, before dyeing we have applied oil masks to repair the hair cuticle (oxidized by synthetic dyes) and counteract the astringent effect of plants.

How is it prepared? Pour the contents of the sachet into a glass or wooden bowl, add the infusion of Calendula, Chamomile and Orange Bark that is included, and stir with a wooden spoon until the cup has a chocolate texture. Then add one of our first cold-pressed oils. Quantity: 2 or 3 tablespoons for short hair, 4 or 5 tablespoons for mid hair and 6 or 7 tablespoons for long hairs.

How will grey hairs look? This formula doesn't cover grey hairs, it just nuances them.

Walnut with Indigo: chocolate tones over brunettes and dark browns

For all of you who have brown hair, and who do not want copper tones, this is your formula, as it covers gray hair providing a chocolate brown tone without copper tones. This formula includes a capillary infusion of Thyme and Nettle that has a purifying, antioxidant function and improves shine.
