Yes and always yes to curly hair
Do you have curly hair and want to learn how to care for it? Here we are to accompany you. First, restoring the health of the hair, an essential previous step so that the hair shines and the curls regain their leading role in all their splendor.
Curly hair is going strong. And we like this. We like it because curly hair that wanted to be straight comes to light, that we say goodbye to irons and aggressive treatments. We like it because it means that more and more we accept ourselves as we are. That we begin to be more free.
TREATMENT
Weekly baths with Grape Seed Oil and Petit Grain will help us little by little to strengthen our curly hair and scalp. It is applied to dry and dirty hair, from root to tip, and leave it for 2 hours, and you will notice how the curl absorbs the oil, a great deep moisturizing treatment. Then, wash your hair and remove the excess oil, although you will see with the hair that it has absorbed more than you thought.
The oil acts in the innermost part of our follicle and the citrus essence provided by the bitter orange leaves will balance the oiliness, recovering the shine and strength of the hair.
WASHING ROUTINE
For your usual wash, you will need a very nourishing shampoo, free of silicones and sulfates, to restore the natural moisture to the curl, to define it and to gain volume, such as Honey and Orange Shampoo. This is a shampoo that respects the curl and keeps it hydrated, gently removing the toxins that stick to it.
If you want to follow the Brown Henna Method, in Step 1 -in which we seek to reset the hair- choose the solid shampoo of Cocoa and Karité. It contains natural sulfates derived from Coconut, so it will clean in greater depth and leave your hair "reset" and ready to absorb all the hydration you give it.
There are other products that keep hair clean. This is the case of the Ghassoul clay, which works as an exfoliator for the scalp and hair, getting rid of all excesses. As curly hair is very sensitive, it is good to change the way you wash, and also alternate it with Shikakai, 100% vegetable, crushed plants without additives, parabens, sulfates or silicones that will take care of your curls in a totally natural way.
Write down this special recipe for curly hair, which you can combine with traditional shampoo once a week:
DEEP WASH RECIPE FOR CURLY HAIR
- 2 tablespoons of Shikakai
- 1 tablespoon of Ghassoul Clay
- 200ml of hot water or an infusion of plants.
Mix the clay and the Shikakai and gradually add the strained plant infusion (or hot water if you have chosen to do it without infusion) until you get a texture of melted chocolate. Apply to damp hair, massaging, and leave on for 10 minutes. Then, rinse with plenty of hot water.
Finally, what can you do to define your curls? We recommend Aloe Vera Gel. Its texture does not weigh down or leave your hair rigid: your curls will continue to have life and will move to the rhythm of yourSteps. Did you know that aloe contains antioxidants, vitamins A, C and E? That's why our Gel, beyond defining the curls, will also be taking care of your hair.
