Myrrh

Myrrh is a resin obtained from the bark of a tree that grows in the southern Mediterranean. It is aromatic and contains several medicinal properties, but was also traditionally used in ancient Egypt as a main ingredient in perfumes and ointments. In fact, you probably know it in its incense or aroma form.

It has antibacterial, antiseptic, mildly analgesic, antipyretic and healing properties. Its scent is dry and woody and promotes feelings of connection to nature.

Applied to the hair in the form of oil, it cleanses the scalp, moisturises the hair and strengthens the hair follicles, promoting hair growth. Because of its antifungal power, it is ideal for combating scalp oiliness and flaking, or dandruff.
