The Method

The first step in the Henna Morena Method is a deep clean with a quality shampoo that contains sulphates naturally present in the coconut to remove the harmful substances from the hair and that has an alkaline pH to open the cuticle and make it receptive to subsequent treatments with plants.

For at least 1 month you are going to wash your hair with that shampoo. After the first few months, you can switch to the Liquid Shampoo for frequent use, and leave the Solid for occasional use. Our recommendation is that you always have both formats at home.

Vegetable fats of hair oils and Shea butters repair the hair cuticle and prevent its natural dehydration caused by external aggressions such as cold, sun, humidity or synthetic products. Applied to dry hair, from the scalp to the ends, they rebuild the hair fiber from the inside and prevent water loss from the hair, eliminating frizz and achieving spectacular shine and silkiness.

Follow this step in parallel to Step 1, for at least 1 month. This step is important for all hair types and should be repeated every one to two weeks.

To remove oils or butters from the hair, we recommend using one of our 4 sulfate-free liquid shampoos.

Once the hair is clean and moisturised, it is time to feed it well: nourishment. Powdered plant and mineral treatments (powder or liquid) need the hair cuticle to be repaired, to counteract their astringent effect and take advantage of all their benefits.

If your hair is damaged, with split ends or bleached (for example), and you have not done the previous step of (1) resetting and (2) moisturising for at least 1 month, do not continue with The Henna Morena Method because the hair is not ready to absorb the nutrients from the plants.

To remove the plant poultices, use one of our 4 sulphate-free liquid shampoos, which will help you to remove any remains of the product from your hair, sealing the cuticle without leaving any residues.

Our finishing products are little, concentrated gems, that in addition to giving definition to the hair, are rich in nutrients, hydrate, facilitate combing and provide the hair with defence mechanisms. They protect the hair against premature ageing.
